TRANSPORT:

Do you have a bus to go to/from Gatwick Airport? If yes, what is the frequency?

We have a bus that operates between our hotel and Gatwick Airport. The bus numbers are G1/ G3/ G7 and have a 24-hour service. They run every 15 minutes from 5am until midnight, and every 30 minutes between midnight and 5am. The cost is £3 per adult per way, £1.50 per child (5-15y) per way, and under 5’s travel for free.

 

How far is the train station from the hotel?

1 mile

 

How long does the journey between Gatwick Airport and the Holiday Inn Gatwick hotel take?

The journey takes approximately 10 minutes. All buses stop at both South and North terminals.

 

Where do I take your shuttle bus at Gatwick Airport?

South Terminal – ground level, stop number 9
North Terminal – ground level, stop number 8

WHAT’S NEAR BY:

What are the closest towns to your hotel?

Horley - 15 minutes walk. It has a small town centre with few shops, pubs and restaurants. The taxi journey would take 5 minutes and cost £5 for a regular car.


Crawley - 10-15 minutes on a taxi. The journey would cost around £10 one way. It is much bigger than Horley with a wide variety of shops; also, there is a leisure centre with a multiplex cinema and bowling alley.


Are there any supermarkets around your hotel?

Yes, there is a Tesco Extra which is located next to the hotel. It operates 24 hours from Mondays to Saturdays, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.


Do you have any leisure centre, swimming pool or gym?

We do not have a leisure centre on-site. There is a leisure centre in our nearest town, Horley, within 5 minutes drive from the hotel. It charges admission fees for swimming pool use and/or gym.

RESTAURANT:

At what time is breakfast?

Our full English breakfast buffet is available in our Traders restaurant from 06h00 until 10h00 Mon-Sun and bank holidays.


For a la carte breakfast orders, we serve in our Hub bar and lounge from 07h00 Mon-Sun. We do not have an alternative of Continental Breakfast buffet, only Full English Breakfast.


We also offer our Holiday Inn Breakfast as room service at £13.95 per person (also available through the night), and Holiday Inn Cooked Breakfast at £15.95 per person (available after 06h00). A tray charge of £3.00 will be added to the bill.

 

Can I have breakfast before 06h00?

Yes, you can order our Holiday Inn Breakfast as room service at £13.95 per person, plus £3.00 service charge at any time through the night.

HOTEL SERVICES:

Do you provide wake-up calls?

Yes, the wake up calls are set via the television in your bedroom.

 

Do you offer free wi-fi?

We offer free standard wi-fi for our IHG Rewards members (Club, Gold, Platinum and Ambassador) from the 1st July 2014.


For all other guests, the wi-fi is charged at £16 for 24 hours, £10 for 4 hours and £5 for 1 hour. These charges apply throughout the hotel.

 

PARK STAY AND GO PACKAGES:

How does the Park Stay and Go package works?

Park your car in the main car park, Fill in a form given by the Reception and leave your car keys with us, Return to collect your car keys in Reception. We will move your car to a long term area, and move it to a pick-up point for collection on your return date. 

 

If I have booked a package with parking, where should I park my car?
Please proceed to the back of the hotel through the barrier. Choose any available space and take a note of the zone where you have parked your car, and mileage.

 

Do I have to leave my car keys with you?
Yes, if you have booked a Park Stay and Go package you need to leave your car keys with us since we will move your car to a long term parking area. *Please be informed that all guests leaving their car are required to leave their car keys as the car will be moved from the short term car park to our long term car park located at the back of the hotel.

ACADEMY GUESTS/CONFERENCE DELEGATES:

Do I have to pay for car parking if I am the conference delegate?

No, you don’t pay for parking if you’re attending an event/meeting in the Academy.

 

How would I know the exit code for parking?

Your meeting organiser will be given the exit code on arrival alternatively you can speak to our Conference host on the day.

 

Do you provide Free LCD Projector & Screen?

We provide the screen free of charge and the daily fee for the projector is £110.00 inc VAT (if it’s not included in your meeting package)

 

Do you have A/C in all your meeting rooms?

Yes and you can control the temperature from the meeting room itself.

 

How many meeting rooms have natural daylight?

7

 

Do you have a dedicated meeting host in the conference Centre?

Yes

 

Do you provide Admin support - Faxes, Printing, and Photocopy etc in the Academy?

Yes, there’s a small chargeable fee - Please speak to our conference host for more details on the day.

 

Do you provide free internet connection in the Academy?

We do provide 1 free WiFi internet connection for the lead delegate

 

How Much does it cost for additional WiFi Connection?

It costs £5 per hour or £16 for 24hr connection.

 

Do you have pillars in any of your meeting rooms?

No

 

How much does it cost for a sound system?

£150 inc VAT include 2 x Microphones (Lapel & Handheld)

 

Can I store my training materials with you prior to my training event?

Yes, we provide secure storage free of charge.

 

What is the latest I can check out?

We provide late checkout for meeting organisers if on 24hr delegate rate - latest 3pm

 

Do I get rewards for booking my event with you?

Do you provide bill back facility?

Yes we do, just ask for a credit application form at the time of booking.

 

How many delegates can you accommodate in your largest meeting room?

150 Theatre Style

 

What is the earliest time I can access the meeting room?

If you are the organiser/lead delegate/trainer, you can access the meeting room from 7.30am with no additional fee.

Do you have transport from Heathrow?

No

From Heathrow Airport you would have to take the National express coach to Gatwick Airport, which runs from all terminals at Heathrow.
